Man stabbed in passport row

Manama: POLICE are investigating allegations a man was stabbed by one of his bosses yesterday when he tried to take back his passport.
Radhakrishnan Thankappan Nair reportedly suffered injuries to his left hand and shoulder and remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
It is claimed a row broke out when the Indian went to collect his passport from his employer ahead of a planned holiday.
But the 35-year-old salesman was allegedly told he would only be given it, on the condition he signed a blank document.
"The employee accuses his employer of attacking him during a dispute over passport," said Interior Ministry sources.
"He came out of the office with torn off shirt and blood on it, but the employer denies it and accuses him of hurting himself.
"A probe is underway to find the actual cause of the fight."
Mr Nair, from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, has worked for his Mina Salman-based company, which cannot be named for legal reasons, for six years.
Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam president K Janardhanan and Indian Community Relief Fund volunteers, including Basheer Ambalayi, Zubair Kannur, Pavithran Naleshram, Nasser Manjeri, John Philip and N Govindan have visited Mr Nair in hospital.
The Indian Embassy is also investigating the case.
